Shotgun Jane was intended to be an entry to Shonen Jump's 50 year anniversary competition. The creator failed to meet the deadline, but instead decided to self-publish this comic as it's own work.

Inspiration for this comic came from the song "Woke up this Morning" by Alabama 3, famously associated with the TV Series, "The Sopranos"

The creation of this comic from start to finish took 8 months. (The deadline was in 6 months at time time.)
